The purpose of the Society is to organise, promote and encourage regular Irish cultural events and happenings etc., in and around Tyneside.

The 2007 Irish Festival was a great success with excellent attendances at almost every concert. We are now trying to promote the ceili nights at the Irish Centre on the first Sunday of every month. We also have some fantastic bands booked for 2008 which you can see by clicking the link below.

A regular new Comhaltas session is now held every Monday night in the Irish Centre lounge with experienced players to help you along.
